Child-Parent Interventions
This program aims to create a safe space for the child or teenager to express themselves about the issues that may be troubling them and causing misbehaviour, sadness or anxiety. Younger children are taken through several sessions where they work through their issues using play, paint, art, music, and other channels. Older children may get into one-on-one or group sessions in conjunction with other modes of child therapy. Parents are included in the family sessions and assisted to working with their children through parenting skills classes. They are also given tips on ways to create an optimal environment in which a child can thrive, and provided with further professional help should the need arise.

Family Therapy
Family therapy is about helping families and ‘family like groups’ find ways to improve things as a family unit using constructive methods. At our Nairobi Centre, our experienced family therapists will work with all members of the family – young and old – helping you explore ways to move forward as a family unit and providing support as you make changes.

Parenting Skills Training
Transformative Learning also offers parenting skills training for individuals, educators, teachers, groups and the corporate sector as part of CSR. Our training programs are offered by highly qualified health care professionals including Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Psychologists, Sociologists, Nutritionists, Educators, and Paediatricians.
